Still Stuck at Band 6.0 in IELTS Writing?

Most candidates don’t lack effort.

They lack clarity on what to fix.

We are building a writing-focused platform designed to diagnose exactly what is holding IELTS candidates back — and show them what to improve next.

Before launch, we are inviting a limited group of IELTS candidates to complete a short research survey (7–10 minutes).

In return, you will receive FREE personalised writing feedback and targeted study material.

THE PROBLEM

The real issue is rarely effort. It is uncertainty.

You have received scores. You have gotten general comments. But you are not shown what is actually lowering your band, what to fix, and how to practise.

Most IELTS candidates practise repeatedly without clear prioritisation.

Why this matters
IELTS examiners check that you address all parts of the question. Missing even one part can drop your Task Response score significantly — even if your language is excellent.
Key tips
Underline every instruction word
Circle words like "discuss", "evaluate", "to what extent" — these define exactly what your essay must do.
Count the parts
Most questions have 2–3 parts. Write a sentence for each before you start drafting.
Example
Question prompt
"Some people think single-sex schools are better. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages."
✓ You must cover BOTH advantages AND disadvantages — not just one side.

A question says: "Do the advantages of studying abroad outweigh the disadvantages?" What must your essay include?
Only advantages, since the question asks if they outweigh
Both advantages and disadvantages, with a clear overall position
A balanced discussion with no personal opinion
Correct! "Outweigh" questions require you to discuss both sides and give a clear overall judgement — your thesis should state whether advantages outweigh disadvantages.
